International Conference on Genomes and AI: From Packing to Regulation
Abstract
Recent technological developments have led to an explosion of data including geneexpression and genome architecture in single cells and within tissues. A majorexperimental and computational challenge going forward is how to integrate all theemerging imaging and sequencing data to identify regulatory modules in health anddisease. The rapid progress in machine learning and AI yields exciting opportunities forcombining and exploiting such diverse genomic datasets. The main objective of this conference is to bring together leading international experts,early-career scientists and students at the intersection of genome biology and machinelearning to discuss and integrate the rapid progress in each area. In particular, thegoal of this conference is to spur new collaborations across disciplinary boundariestaking advantage of the explosion of data through the development of high-throughputimaging and sequencing technologies and the rapid progress in machine learning andAI. This is critical for uncovering the mechanogenomic codes that link genomearchitecture, regulation and function, and ultimately for the development of newbiomarkers and therapeutic interventions. To achieve these goals, the Conference will cover the following three major themes:- Single-cell 1D and 3D Genomics: Experiments and Modeling- Networks: From Expression to Regulatory Modules- Genome architecture: Regulation and Biomarkers
