LATWAVES 2020. 4th Latin American Symposium on Water Waves. "Promoting synergy in Latin American met-ocean research"
Abstract
After three successful editions in Rio de Janeiro (2015 and 2016), and Medellin (2018),the fourth edition of LatWaves will take place in Montevideo, Uruguay, on March 18-20,2020. The conference is focused on discussing the observation, modelling and analysisof ocean waves, as well as their interaction with the lower atmosphere, upper ocean,marine bottom and coastal environment. Approaches from basic physics, Metoceanscience and engineering will converge in this meeting, so as to exchange ideas, presentnovel achievements and facilitate collaborations, allowing advancement in problemsrelevant to different stakeholders, including the Navy, coastal managers and portoperators.
