Abstract
The Telecommunication and Information Technology sector in Vietnam has grown very fast in therecent years, leading to a greater demand for highly qualified technicians and engineers. This demandposes new challenges for the Vietnamese research and higher education system in the informationand communications fields, in which Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) playsan important role. In order for the Vietnamese research and education system to meet new requirementsin information and communications technology, there needs to be an improvement in research quality.
