The 5th Australasian Conference on Computational Mechanics (ACCM 2021)
Abstract
Australasian Conference on Computational Mechanics (ACCM) 2021 brings researchers at the forefront in the field of Computational Mec hanics together to discuss the recent advances in Computational Mechanics across various disciplines including Civil, Environment, M echanical/aeronautical, and biomechanical engineering areas, and many more. The scientific program of ACCM 2021 will include keynote speeches led by globally eminent researchers, presentations from researchers from various areas, discussions, and networking opport unities. We will provide an excellent platform for all researchers, engineers and other professionals in Australia and other countri es to present the recent advances in Computational Mechanics, numerical methods and modelling techniques across disciplines, exchang e ideas, discuss, network, aiming to foster collaborations. The conference provides an excellent platform for Early Career Researche rs (ECR) and Higher degree Research Students (HDR) to grow their scholarship and research excellence with very low registration fee. Best HDR and ECR paper awards will be presented to the excellent researchers, and unique HDR Forum and Networking events will be or ganized to provide extra mentorship via invited speech from inspiring eminent research leaders and outstanding ECRs and networking o pportunities. In terms of Computational Mechanics, it has been one of the most robust and powerful technique which has been used in various engineering disciplines, including civil and structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, mechanical/mechatronics engin eering, aeronautical and aerospace engineering, biomechanical engineering, etc. It provides effective, accurate and reliable predict ion of the mechanical and structural performance of materials and infrastructures and contribute significantly to the development of many engineering areas and bring significantly economic, social, and environmental benefit to the society. This conference will thu s provide an important platform for researchers and academics across Australian and Asian countries to exchange the recent developme nt of computational modelling method and techniques in the critical engineering areas. This is expected to bring economic, environme ntal, and social/technological benefits to New South Wales, Australia and the world.
