Collaborative Science Program OCEANS 2022 Chennai

Abstract

OCEANS conference inspires a global community to offer a platform for presenting their findings, technology standards, and professio, nal and educational activities in ocean related research. OCEANS 2022 Chennai will be hosted at the IIT Research Park, Chennai durin,g February 21-24, 2022, under the theme INSPIRE - INNOVATE - SUSTAIN. OCEANS 2022 Chennai is being held for the first time in Ind,ia. The conference is expected to attract about 800 and 400 professionally reviewed research papers in the areas of UN Decade of Oce,an Science for Sustainable Development (2021-2030), Latest IPCC report and the implications there on related to Climate Change, Petr, oleum Engineering, Underwater Acoustics and Acoustical Oceanography, Sonar Signal/ Image Processing and Communication, Ocean Observi,ng Platforms, Systems, Instrumentation, Remote Sensing, Ocean Data Visualization, Modeling, and Information Management, Marine Envir, onment, Oceanography and Meteorology, , Optics, Imaging, Vision and E-M Systems Marine Law, Policy, Management and Education, Offsho,re Structures and Technology, Ocean Vehicles and Floating Structures. OCEANS 2022 Chennai also encourages student activity to engage, the upcoming ocean Engineers and scientists. Student Poster Competition (SPC) is one of the technical activities, open to all engin, eering and science undergraduate and graduate students from any college or university worldwide. Significant achievements in the stu, dents research are presented as an abstract and all abstracts will be peer reviewed. Due to the ongoing Covid pandemic, the OCEANS,2022 Chennai conference will be conducted in hybrid mode i.e. a subset of participants who are unable to attend physically due to tr,avel constraints may attend through webcast. There are 5 to 6 plenaries, an equal number of panel sessions and 5 tutorials on specia,l interest topics. About 30 exhibitors are expected to showcase their state-of-the-art solutions or products in ocean engineering, s,cience and technology. Papers selected for the competition are published in the OCEANS 2022 Chennai, conference proceedings hosted i,n the IEEE Xplore database. We are submitting this proposal to partially cover the cost of hybrid mode conference platform as well a,s for expenditure towards student researchers includes free conference registration, travel and accommodation. This conference will, provide young professionals with opportunities for dissemination of research information with working professionals and expose parti, cipants to the activities of professional societies.
