Metamaterials 2022 The Sixteenth International Congress on Artificial Materials for Novel Wave Pheno

Abstract

The Congress will provide a unique forum to share the latest results of the metamaterials research and bring together the engineerin,g, physics, and material science communities working in the field of artificial electromagnetic materials and their applications at,microwaves, millimeter waves, terahertz, and optical frequencies, as well as in acoustics, mechanics, hydrodynamics and thermodynami,cs. This Congress follows the success of Metamaterials 2007-2021 and continues the traditions of the highly successful series of Int,ernational Conferences on Complex Media and Metamaterials (Bianisotropics) and Rome International Workshops on Metamaterials and Spe,cial Materials for Electromagnetic Applications and Telecommunications. The Conference programme will include four plenary talks giv,en by the following eminent researchers in the field of metamaterials: William Esco Moerner (2014 Nobel Prize in Chemistry), Stanfor,d University; Martin Wegener, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology; Teri W. Odom, Northwestern University; Din-Ping Tsai, The City Univ, ersity Hong Kong. Moreover, leading experts will present invited talks, which will review the state-of-the-art and address the lates,t advancements in their respective areas. Furthermore, the Congress holds the Physical Review Journals Symposium, dedicated to a few, selected works published recently in the Physical Review journals, within and beyond the traditional domain of metamaterials resear,ch. The technical oral talks and interactive poster sessions will encompass a broad range of topics, from fundamental electromagneti,c theory of metamaterials and complex electromagnetic media to innovative microwave and optical devices.
