2nd International Workshop on Adaptive Compressive and Computational Imaging WACCI 2022

Abstract

We are currently seeking for complimentary funds to organize the 2nd International Workshop on Adaptive, Compressive and Computation,al Imaging, WACCI 2022, to be held in Bucaramanga, Colombia, during November 8-10, 2022. Our original meeting WACCI 2019, held in Va,lparaiso, Chile, back in November 2019, that gathered 35 researcher including students and scientists from several countries of Lat,in America and abroad, and had the presence of several prominent worldwide known authorities in the computational imaging field.Comp,utational imaging comprises the joint design of optical imaging systems and computing algorithms to efficiently capture various high,-dimensional properties of light. It is an exciting new, multidisciplinary field that merges knowledge from optics, signal processin,g, and machine learning. With this second version of our WACCI 2022 meeting, we aim to keep strengthening the Latin-American computa,tional imaging community, allowing researchers and students to gather with recognized, prestigious invited speakers in the field fro,m abroad, whom will be responsible of delivering tutorial-style plenary talks. Together with the invited speakers, we aim to provide, with scholarships for local Latin-American graduate students.We expect to have participation of more students and researchers from,even more countries than the original meeting, also expecting that this meeting will serve Latin American students and researchers t,o establish their networking for future scientific collaborations with the invited scientists, perhaps also leading to creating or p,articipating in exciting new joint projects.
