The 48th International Congress on Science, Technology and Technology-based Innovation (STT48)

Abstract

Since its first launch almost half a century ago in 1971 as The Congress on Science and Technology of Thailand,the congress, organiz,ed by The Science Society of Thailand under the Patronage of His Majesty the King, has beenone of the long-lasting annual scientific, meeting events in Thailand. The congress has recently transformed itsname to The International Congress on Science, Technology and,Technology-based Innovation to reflect itsexpanding participants from Thailand and overseas as well as the breadth of its scientific, program. The aim is tocreate scientific forum for national and international scientists and technologists as well as young Thaiscie,ntists from diversified fields of science and technology to meet and to provide them the opportunity to shareand exchange their know,ledge and experiences.This year, the congress, in its 48 consecutive years, is arranged in collaboration with Walailak University,lo,cated in the southern part of Thailand during November 29 ? December 1, 2022 in the theme of ?Science andtechnology for advancing to,wards SDGs?. It is expected that around 500 delegates will join the congress. Therewill be 6 sessions and 8 symposiums. Some of them, are fitted with the primary interest in the basic researchcategory of The Marine Corps S&T Strategic Plan for example, Session E wh,ich particularly focuses on energytechnology, both renewable and non-renewable energy such as coal, natural gas, biomass, solar, geo,thermal, andwind energies, as well as energy materials for energy generation and storage including dielectric, piezoelectric,and tri,boelectric materials or Session D where researchers in mathematics, statistics, computer science, datascience, and artificial intell,igence present and exchange their academic views on the latest and novel researchfindings.As a customary, a nobel laureate is invite,d to give a plenary talk in the opening ceremony presiding over by H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. This year Professor R. W., Schekman, 2013 Nobel Laureate in Physiology/Medicine, from University of California, Berkeley will give a talk. Another plenary tal,k will be given byProfessor Emeritus Roland von Bothmer from Svalbard Global Seed Vault.During the conference, a printed program boo,k will be provided for all participants while the abstract book andthe proceedings will be provided electronically. The proceedings,will later be available on the website of SST.Some selected manuscripts (around 15 papers) will be submitted to ScienceAsia, an inte,rnational journal. Thejournal is indexed in Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) with the impact factor of 0.995 ranked Q2 inMulti,disciplinary Sciences. It also indexed in SCOPUS with the highest rank in Q2.
