SMART Cables, Science and Society
Abstract
Next 22nd and 23rd of May will be held in Aveiro, University of Aveiro, an international Seminar #SMART Cables, Science and Society# with a program that will cover benefits of SMART Cable Data for the Science and Society, namely to the Oceanography, Seismic Hazard and Tsunami, Security and Safety, Blue Data/Economy, Industry and Funding and Support. This workshop will inform scientific and civic authorities about the potential of the data collected by SMART Cables and will feature speakers from various countries and International Organizations. This will be a joint organization of the University of Aveiro and JTF SMART Cables and will hopefully have the support of FLAD (https://www.flad.pt/en/), IOC/UNESCO (https://unesco.missaoportugal.mne.gov.pt/en/institutional/portuguese-committee-for-the-ioc) and ONR/London (https://www.nre.navy.mil/), among other public entities, as members of LEA and other stakeholders.
