MTS/IEEE OCEANS (Rest of World) Student Poster Competition Conference Proposal

Abstract

The OCEANS Conference and Exhibition series is held twice each year with one conference in North America and one #rest of world# conference (either Asia or Europe on alternate years). A Student Poster Program has been an integral part of the OCEANS Conferences since 1989. Theprogram is designed to foster and promote student involvement in technical conferences and activities of professional societies and to provide a forum for the student to interact with professionals throughout the international ocean science community.It is open to engineering and science graduate and undergraduate students. The Office of Naval Research and Office of Naval Research-Global have provided financialsupport for the OCEANS Student Poster Program since 1999. The OCEANS Limerick (2023), Singapore (2024) and Brest (2025) conferences are requesting ONR-G funds to host Student Poster Programs within their conferences and support travel expenses for up to 15 non U.S. students at each conference, 45 students total over three years.
