AI4VN SUMMIT 2023 BAA number: N00014-23-S-B001
Abstract
We propose a plan comprising a series of national-scale AI events along with a comprehensive multi-channel communication strategy, with the following objectives:1. Delivering to the community, especially policy makers, researchers, educators, and business leaders, a comprehensive update on the global AI development landscape and the AI development situation in specific regions as of 2023.2. Showcasing and introducing the results and achievements aligned with the National AI Strategy, focusing on:- Enhancing the community s understanding of the Strategy and specific actions of state management agencies in implementing the National AI Strategy.- Establishing a legal framework for AI.- Developing AI talent and improving the education environment.- Applying AI in public administrationand key economic sectors.- International AI collaboration and support resources.- Other notable topics.3. Creating both official and unofficial forums for experts, managers, beneficiaries, and representatives of domestic and international resources to enhance discussions and seek specific solutions to overcome challenges and leverage strengths, thus aiding Vietnam in quickly achieving the goals of the National AI Strategy.4. Establishing a national-level communication focal point to attract high-quality cross-industry personnel, fostering engagement, discussions, and contributions to the broader Artificial Intelligence landscape.The proposed event series (AI4VN) includes:- AI Expo, with an anticipated 30 booths, targeting the involvement of 2000 high-quality professionals.- AI Summit 2023, aiming to attract 2000 participants.- AI Workshops & Conferences, with 3 sessions covering trending topics.- Business Forum 2023, featuring participation and contributions from administrators, managers, CTOs, engineers, startups, students in relevant fields, along with technology journalism.AI4VN is an annual event that helps communities and businesses to have a better awareness of the application of AItechnology in life. The event also created a solid connection between ministries, departments, sectors and businesses to discuss policies and methods to support AI development in Vietnam.After 5 years of organization, AI4VN has become a reliable scientific event, attracting great attention from management agencies, technology corporations, research institutions,... joining forces to promote the development of the AI ecosystem in Vietnam.The expected outcome of the event is: - Sharing realistic stories, proposing solutions as a contribution in creating motivation and developing the AI ecosystem in Vietnam. - Providing a panorama froman application perspective on the response of businesses in the AI development ecosystem in Vietnam- Promote research, creation andapplication of AI to contribute to solving challenging problems in the country s socio-economic development; at the same time, helping Vietnamese businesses apply new technologies to optimize their competitiveness.- Help businesses apply artificial intelligence to promote products- Creating networking opportunities for promising AI-application products/solutions to domestic and foreign markets- Promoting international cooperation in the field of science and technology.In the international aspect, the Event will connect the researchers, scientists in Vietnam and in the US as well as other countries to solidify cooperation in the field of science and technology. It is expected to bring about updated information and technology trends in the world for Vietnamese AI communities, increase their knowledge and hence contribute to capacity building for the potential cooperation with US Naval
