CSP: Ultra-High Temperature Ceramics: Materials for Extreme Environment Applications VI

Abstract

Ultra-high temperature ceramic and composites on their basis are relevant materials to the fields of aerospace, energy production and more generally to those environments where extreme conditions are encountered, like ultra-high temperatures, oxidation and corrosion, thermo-mechanical loads, plasma. This sixth conference in the Engineering Conferences International (ECI) series aims at bringing together the entire community from Academia, Government, and Industries in a forum that allows the bench researchers to interact with designers and engineers to discuss state-of-the-art research and development efforts for bulks and fiber reinforced UHTCs, and how to move the technology forth toward near-term and longer term uses.It touches all aspects from design to production including: Processing, Characterization, Environmental response, Modelling, Applications. While scientific topics are a constant in most conferences, this one has the distinctive feature of allowing relevant time for individual networking, enabling students and early stage researcher to address their career path into relevant laboratories, and to senior to get in touch with funding agencies, or get access to new laboratories. The conference will take place on April 14 # 19, 2024 in Giardini Naxos, Sicily (Italy).
