International Conference on Materials Science and Nanotechnology

Abstract

The International Conference on Materials Science and Nanotechnology - 2024 (Nomatech ICMSN-2024) will be held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, July 07-09, 2024. The core objectives of the Nomatech ICMSN-2024 are to delve deep into the most recent innovations, research, and applications in both material science and nanotechnology, showcasing the forefront of global scientific advancements and also playing a pivotal role in amplifying local collaborations within Mongolia. By providing a platform where Mongolian researchers, institutions, and industry experts could interact directly with international counterparts, the conference has fostered an environment conducive to synergistic partnerships.Technical discussions will span a wide range of topics, including the development of advanced materials with unprecedented properties, the challenges and opportunities in nanoscale fabrication, and the societal and environmental implications of these technologies in related fields. Furthermore, the conference endeavors to serve as a conduit for participantsto gain insights from international and national foundations. Delegates from these foundations will also have a platform to showcase potential opportunities and address prevailing challenges. This interactive approach will be further enriched by distinguished keynote speakers, illuminating plenary talks, and engaging oral and poster presentations. The round table discussion and the exhibitionwill initiate possibilities of cultivating collaborations between universities, institutions, research bodies, and organizations from local and foreign countries as well as the office of Naval Research. Moreover, this event aims to bridge the gap between academiaand industry, fostering partnerships that can lead to the practical application of research findings and driving innovation in real-world settings. This multifaceted approach will not only explore ongoing research but also shed light on the forthcoming challenges. A key highlight of this conference is its alignment with the US Naval or Marine Corps Science & Technology Plan. By emphasizing focus areas such as advanced materials for robust defense systems, nanoscale sensors for enhanced maritime surveillance, and sustainable energy solutions for prolonged operations, ICMSN seeks to showcase Mongolia s unique contributions and perspectives in these areas, encouraging a blend of global and local insights. The desired outcomes for the Nomatech ICMSN-2024 encompass the promotion of interdisciplinary collaborations, the dissemination of pioneering research to a broader audience, and the establishment of Mongolia asa hub for material science and nanotechnology discourse and innovation. An implicit yet crucial outcome is the establishment of networks and collaborations. The conference will provide avenues for researchers, academicians, and industry professionals to connect, potentially leading to joint research projects and initiatives locally as well as internationally. A compilation of all the presentations, discussions, and findings from the conference will be made available. This will serve as a valuable resource for attendees and the broader scientific community to refer back to. Through this conference, attendees will gain a holistic view of the current state of these fields and the trajectory they are poised to follow in the coming years. In our country, the two projects are implementedthrough support from the DoD, Office of Naval Research Global (ONRG), USA.
