2024 IEEE Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics, and Frequency Control Joint Symposium (2024 UFFC-JS)

Abstract

The IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) has been organizing international conferences worldwide since its establishment in 1963. One of its subdivisions, the Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics, and Frequency Control Society (UFFC-S), encompassing the fields of ultrasonics, ferroelectrics, and frequency control, has been active for over sixty years. Each of these areas hosts annual conferences. Taking the field of Ultrasonics as an example, recent years have seen a steady growth in submissions and registrations. This reflects the significant importance of these specialized areas within the society. This application pertains to the IEEE UFFC Joint Symposium, a triennial event encompassing these three fields, which is expected to draw 2500-3000 attendees, over 90% of whom are international scholars outside Taiwan. Thus, this conference promises to be a major international event. The bid to host the 2024 IEEE Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics, and Frequency Control Joint Symposium aims to enhance Taiwan s research and development in electrical, electronic, ultrasonic, ferroelectric, and frequency control domains. The goals of hosting this conference include:1.Facilitating international collaboration and networking among professionals and organizations in these fields worldwide.2.Inviting expertsto present cutting-edge concepts and research methodologies, promoting the application of electrical, electronic, and ultrasonic technologies across related domains.3.Fostering partnerships among international research organizations and units in electrical, electronic, ultrasonic, ferroelectric, and frequency control domains.4.Showcasing Taiwan s research achievements in electrical, electronic, ultrasonic, ferroelectric, and frequency control fields and facilitating knowledge exchange with top scholars from around the world.5.Providing Taiwanese students in electrical, electronic, ultrasonic, ferroelectric, and frequency control fields with opportunities to participate in and observe an international conference, gaining insights into the latest theoretical knowledge and research methodologies while engaging directly with international leading researchers.6.Deepening international delegates understanding of Taiwan s developments and research in electrical, electronic, ultrasonic, ferroelectric, and frequency control domains.7.Broadening the perspectives of Taiwanese experts and scholars and achieving the goal of international academic and applied exchange.8.Promoting Taiwan s development in electrical, electronic, ultrasonic, ferroelectric, and frequency control fields and integrating cross-disciplinary research resources. This year s conference will invite representatives from various countries to share their professional theories and research experiences, and through this international symposium, it hopes to establish a global paradigm in the field of electrical, electronic, ultrasonic, ferroelectric, and frequency control, thereby consolidating research potential.
