Targeted Neuroplasticity Training (TNT) to Accelerate Complex Skill Learning

Abstract

The purpose of this project is to develop a targeted neuroplasticity training (TNT) strategy using vagus nerve stimulation paired with training to accelerate complex skill learning. The project will take a comprehensive approach, incorporating preclinical optimization and clinical testing. In Task 1, The Recipient will use high-throughput animal testing to systematically optimize TNT parameters and test the ability of TNT to enhance learning in multiple cognitive domains. In Task 2, the Recipient will evaluate the ability of TNT to enhance learning in humans.
