Tuning of Programmable Pathways to Limit Epidemics of Influenza (TOPPLE-FLU)

Abstract

The Recipient is to identify host and viral genes that can be targeted for development as programmable gene modulators (PGMs). The candidate gene targets will be used to generate PGMs that when administered either prophylactically or therapeutically will result in robust protection (or reduction) of infection from multiple strains of influenza and be effective for 4-5 months with no detrimental side effects or genetic alterations to the patient.
