HETEROGENOUS PEROVSKITE-ON-SILICON LASER DIODES

Abstract

this effort is to develop and demonstrate an electrically-driven metal halide perovskite (MHP)-on-silicon laser. The effort includes modeling of the devices, development of all the key components and new MHP alloys for emission in the visible and near-infrared (VIS/NIR) range. If successful, improved standoff detection in the visible range, detection of biochemical threats, and environmental monitoring that is of vital importance for public safety will result.
