HIV/AIDS PREVENTION PROGRAM LESOTHO

Abstract

The principal purpose of this grant is to recruit a Senior Laboratory Technician for the duration of three years. This requirement is part of the PEPFAR initiative to train and assist selected foreign militaries in establishing and implementing HIV/AIDS prevention, care, and treatment programs for their military personnel and dependents. The primary objective is to support, stimulate and accomplish a purpose in benefit of the general public of the country of Lesotho and as authorized by a law of the United States instead of acquiring (by purchase, lease, or barter) property or services for the direct benefit or use of the United States Government. Substantial involvement is not expected between the executive agency, the State, local government, or other recipient. Ongoing HIV/AIDS interventions will be intensified and expanded due to the supplies provided by the Grantee. This research has been supported by the President s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) through the Department of Defense HIV/AIDS Prevention Program under the terms of N68171-15-1-0022.
