MEDICAL CHEMICAL DEFENSE (BASIC RESEARCH)

Abstract

This project (TC1) emphasizes the understanding of the basic action mechanisms of nerve, blister, blood, and respiratory agents within the body. Basic studies are performed to delineate biological mechanisms for identified and emerging chemical threats to generate required information for initial design and synthesis of chemical medical countermeasures. In FY12, all Project TC1 research will be realigned to Project LF1 - Life Sciences (Basic Research).
