Integrated Electronic Warfare Systems

Abstract

The Integrated Electronic Warfare System (IEWS) is a system of systems capability set that integrates electronic attack, protect and support functions to dramatically improve the ability to seize, retain, and exploit an advantage within the electromagnetic spectrum (EMS). It is based on a modular, scalable and open architecture to allow Army BCT and Joint Force Commander's to tailor capability responses against a variety of EW threats/scenarios. The IEWS capability set is structured along three program lines of effort: 1) Multi-Function EW (MFEW), 2) Electronic Warfare Planning and Management Tools (EWPMT), and 3) Defensive Electronic Attack (DEA). Defensive Electronic Attack (DEA) will provide force protection to vehicles, dismounted troops and fixed site locations against radio controlled improvised explosive device (RCIED) and electronic support measures for situational awareness. Prior Years DTI/Duke Enhanced is renamed to DV4. Justification: FY2015 funds in the amount of $4.035 million continues the development of Hardware/Software solutions to ensure systems remain relevant against Global Threats.
