NATURAL RESOURCES MANAGEMENT VEGETATION AND BUFFER SURVEYS FORT WAINWRIGHT ALASKA

Abstract

The primary objectives of this task is to assist FWA with the optimal management of training lands, to minimize restrictions to the military mission due to natural and cultural resource related constraints, to protect and enhance biological diversity and ecological health on all FWA lands, and to ensure compliance with all environmental laws and regulations. This study is conducted to update required planning level surveys (PLSs) as required by the DAIM-ED-N Memorandum, dated March 21, 1997, subject: Army Goals and Implementing Guidance for Natural Resources PLSs and INRMPs. Includes periodic updates to these PLSs. (Feb 2002 DA P&G).
