BIOSECURITY AND INVASIVE SPECIES TECH SUPPORT
Abstract
To collect natural resource data necessary for the sound management of military lands (including conducting fieldwork and field sampling in junction with data collection), with an emphasis on invasive species. • To assemble, edit, summarize, analyze, interpret, and apply environmental data to the management of natural resources on military installations directly pursuant to the conservation and rehabilitation of natural resources on such installations • To identify potential treatments for the control and removal of invasive vertebrates, invertebrates, and other organisms and implement such measures • To develop statements of work and cost estimates for natural resource and invasive species management projects at Wake Atoll, Kokee AFS, and Mt Kaala AFS • Provide adequate protection for fish and wildlife officially classified as threatened or endangered pursuant to section 4 of the endangered Species Act of 1973 as may be impacted by environmental restoration activities (protectiveness provisions)
