Wideband Low-Frequency Antenna Formation Using a Cluster of Near-field Coupled Small Antennas

Abstract

In this report, we present a method based on magnetic coupling of a cluster of detached miniaturized antennas on different platforms to effectively create a larger antenna and hence, provide much higher larger bandwidth and efficiency than the individual antenna. This concept is demonstrated using three miniaturized folded dipole antennas fed by synchronized sources.
