Conference: Sampling Theory and Applications (SampTA 2015)
Abstract
SampTA (Sampling Theory and Applications) is a biennial interdisciplinary international conference for mathematicians, engineers, and applied scientists. The main purpose of SampTA is to exchange recent advances in sampling theory and to explore new trends and directions in the related areas of application. This document gives our final report on SampTA 2015, which was held at American University the week of May 25-29, 2015. SampTA 2015 had 203 attendees. Presentations and papers presented broke down as follows. There were 8 one hour plenary talks, 130 25 minute talks, and 15 posters. SampTA 2015 achieved some rather notable milestones. The meeting was endorsed by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM). The conference papers were published in IEEE Xplore. A special of Sampling Theory in Signal and Image Processing (STSIP) is under preparation, and an invited book for the Birkhauser ANHA series is in preparation.
