W911NF-12-R-0012-03: Distributed Fusion with Copula: ARO - Research Area 5: Computing Science, in particular, 5.2.2 Data and Information Fusion

Abstract

The objective of this project is to establish a new approach to decentralized information processing in dynamic networks and cloud-based fusion of heterogeneous sensor data. The key aspect of this research is the joint development of theories and algorithms for scalable decentralized data fusion techniques. In particular, research will focus on the following research areas: (1) a mathematical foundation based on copula and Bayesian probability theory for heterogeneous data types, and (2) a set of autonomous fusion algorithms for ad hoc sensor networks with asynchronous and arbitrary connectivity.
