Impedance Spectroscopy Tool for Characterizing Condensed State Ion-Transport in Energetic Formulations
Abstract
The proposal is for purchase of an Impedance Analyzer that can be employed to analyze the ion-conductivity of metal oxides. This will result in an enhancement to experimental work to measure the oxygen-ion mobility in oxidizers used in advanced nanoenergetic formulations. The proposal is to purchase a Solartron 1260 Impedance/Grain-Phase analyzer. This will allow exploration of a regime in energetic materials that has been previously inaccessible and will significantly enhance the research being conducted under ARO funded proposal 63153EG.
