2016 Electrochemistry Gordon Research Conference & Gordon Research Seminar

Abstract

The objective of this proposal was to partially support invited speakers and discussion lenders and to defray my registration fees for students and postdocs attending this Gordon Research Conference (GRC) on Electrochemistry subtitled New Directions in Electrochemistry, New Approaches to Electrochemical Problems on January 10-15, 2016 in Ventura, CA. The 2016 GRC on Electrochemistry comtinued a strong tradition of GRCs in Electrochemistry. The focus of the meetmg was on new directions and challenges in electrochemistry and new approaches and tecluuques applied to electrochenustry and lughlighted the impact of cutting-edge electrochemical science and its continued growth in modem research and development. Several different perspectives were presented addressing both fundamental and applied aspects covering areas such as energy conversion and storage, electrodeposition, bioelectrochemistry, physical and nanoscale electrochemistry, and developments in modeling and theory.
