International Network for Social Network Analysis "Sunbelt" Conference

Abstract

The objective of the "Sunbelt" conference of the International Network for Social Network Analysis (INSNA) organization is to bring together researchers and practitioners from around the world to present cutting edge research on social networks. The Sunbelt conference is has been held annually for 36 years, with the location of the conference rotating between North America and Europe. This year the conference will be held in Newport Beach, California. To support the sharing of ideas at Sunbelt, funds will be used to support travel and lodging expenses for the keynote speaker, a poster symposium, and the development of the conference web site. The six day conference is expected to be attended by approximately 800 international scholars and students coming from places such as the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia, Russia, China, and South America. Attendees are interdisciplinary and include social scientists, mathematicians, computer scientists, ethnologists, epidemiologists, organizational theorists, and others with interests in diverse areas of social network methods, research, and applications, and who come from academic, private, government, and non-profit institutions.
