FASEB Science Research Conference on Retinal Neurobiology and Visual Processing

Abstract

The objective of this proposal l is to support a workshop that brings together vision scientists with a wide variety of skills to present and discuss the latest findings and technical advances in the fields of retinal development, connectomics, synaptic processing, computational vision, and regeneration and to subject these findings to vigorous debate and discussion among about 200 participants. Tasking to achieve the objective of the proposal will include defraying travel costs and meeting expenses for speakers and poster presenters to attend the FASEB Summer Research Conference on Retinal Neurobiology and Visual Processing to be held in Keystone, CO on July 10-15, 2016. Speakers to be supported will have expertise in the areas of physical limitations on vision imposed by the environment and neural circuitry, retinal mechanisms of motion detection, and retinal stem cells and regeneration.
