IEEE Wireless Power Transfer Conference (IEEE WPTC2016)
Abstract
The conference will include attendance from industry, government and academia. The conference has been advertised through the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society. A web page with all relevant information has been active since June 2015: www.wptc2016.org. Many participants are also helping with paper review, posters, awards etc. They include researchers active in high and low frequency wireless power transmission, as well as low and high-power applications. All accepted papers will appear in the WPTC-2016 conference proceedings and will be included in IEEE Xplore. The requested funds from the U.S. Army are intended to promote participation of students which are doing work relevant to the interests of the Army. A best student paper prize and a hardware demo competition will be funded. An Awards Committee has been put in place to determine the winners, taking into account relevance to the U.S. Army. The Pl, as General Chair, will oversee these activities.
