Support for the 17th IEEE International Vacuum Electronics Conference

Abstract

The 17th Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) International Vacuum Electronics Conference (IVEC) will be held on 19-21 April at the Monterey Marriott in Monterey, CA. IVEC was originally created in 2000 by merging the U.S. Power Tube Conferences and the European Space Agency TWTA Workshops. Now a fully international conference, IVEC is held every other year in the U.S., and in Europe and Asia alternately every fourth year. The Monterey location was chosen for its intimate setting, which is conducive to fostering the congenial and cooperative atmosphere for which the conference is known, and for its proximity to much of the U.S. industrial base in vacuum electronics, which encourages attendance from the important manufacturing sector. In addition, the West Coast location is reasonably convenient for Asian participation.
