2016 Princeton-CEFRC-CI Summer School on Combustion
Abstract
The objective is to provide support for summer school on Combustion is a pat1 of the outreach program of the Combustion Energy Frontier Research Center (CEFRC). Shall offer our traditional foundation courses on combustion physics and combustion chemistry, to be respectively lectured by Professor Chung K. Law of Princeton University and Professor Henry Curran of the National University of lreland, Galway. In addition, we shall also offer three enrichment courses on laser diagnostics, combustion dynamics, and turbulent combustion, which will be respectively lectured by Professor Mark Linne of the University of Edinburgh, Professor Sebastien Caudel of the Ecole Centrale Paris, and Professor James Driscoll of the University of Michigan. Each of the above courses will consist of daily three-hour lectures for five weekdays. Additional technical activities of the Summer School will include a panel discussion on career development and opportunities, and poster sessions of work in progress by the participants.
