Future Directions in Fractional Calculus Research and Applications

Abstract

The workshop on "Future Directions in Fractional Calculus Research and Applications" will be held at the Michigan State University campus, and is scheduled to be held on 17-21 October 2016. As the field of fractional calculus grows and matures, it is important to focus on the most promising new directions. The proposed workshop will bring together the top researchers in applications of fractional calculus, to plan out the future of this exciting new field. A total of 30 participants are projected to be funded by this grant to attend this week-long workshop. Each participant will give a one hour talk on their favorite topic, with an emphasis on future applications. In order to advance the field, ample time will be given for discussions about possible future directions.
