Conference Support: Polymer Composites and High Performance Materials Workshop
Abstract
Funds are requested to support a "Polymer Composites and High Performance Materials" workshop to be held in Santa Rosa, CA. The requested support will contribute to the travel costs of (2) graduate student presenters. This meeting will bring together researchers from academia, industry, and government to discuss key challenges and advances in the area of polymer composites, with specific emphasis on addressing fundamental structure-processing-property issues. Specific topics will include Sustainable Polymer Composites, Polymer Matrix Development, Fracture in Composites, and Multifunctional Materials. There will also be sessions focused on the potential aerospace, defense, and infrastructural applications of polymer composites and high performance materials.
