24th Current Trends in Computational Chemistry

Abstract

The annual conference series on Current Trends in Computational Chemistry (CCTCC) was initiated in 1992 by the grant from the Army High Performance Computational Research Center (AHPCRC) and supported by the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) in Vicksburg, Mississippi, as a forum for computational chemists for transfer of information and discussion with their colleagues working in academia and industry. In over 23 years, the initial small meeting graduated to an internationally recognized main event in the area of computational chemistry that has been attended by seven Nobel Laureates, three of whom participated in the CCTCC more than one time. For 22 of the 23 years, the Army, through ERDC has been a major supporter of the CCTCC meeting, recognizing the importance of this conference for Jackson State University (JSU), the HBCU community, and computational chemistry scientists in chemistry and related fields.
