Acquisition Measurement System and Components for Development of Silicon-based Longwave Integrated Optoelectronics

Abstract

The research activities during the project period was focused on the following directions: I) Building a new photoluminescence measurement (PL) setup compatible for microPL measurements and wavelength-dependent PL measurements. II) Purchasing necessary equipment to build an integrated photonic testing setup and high frequency measurement system. III) Design and simulation of integrated photonic components. IV) Training undergrad and grad students at UAPB on semiconductor optical characterization techniques. The abovementioned activities have established a unique opportunity for the UAPB to pursue research in the field of integrated photonics.
