Detonation Synthesis of Nanomaterials

Abstract

The goal of the proposed effort was to synthesize nano-sized silicon carbide particles using detonation. The research objectives were to: 1) establish detonation synthesis capabilities at the Missouri University of Science and Technology (MS&T); and 2) initiate fundamental studies of formation mechanisms of nanosized SiC particles.
