Ninth International Workshop on Network Science for Communication Networks (NetSciCom)
Abstract
The Ninth International Workshop on Network Science for Communication Networks (NetSciCom) will be held in conjunction with IEEE INFOCOM 2017 in Atlanta, GA on May 1, 2017. Network Science is an emerging discipline with applications in a variety of complex network domains, such as, Computer Communication Networks, Electric Power Grid Networks, Transportation Networks, Social Networks and Biological Networks. Designing complex communication networks of the future needs a deep understanding of the interplay between the physical-, the communication- and the social networks involved. An understanding of such interdependency at the fundamental level can only be achieved by close interaction between Network Scientists, Communication Network Designers, and Social and Behavioral Scientists. The goal of this workshop is to a provide a forum where this diverse group of researchers can meet and exchange ideas that will lead to deeper insights into the design of robust, efficient and complex communication networks of the future.
