Support for the 23rd International Conference on DNA Computing and Molecular Programming

Abstract

The University of Texas at Austin is currently organizing the 23rd International Conference on DNA Computing and Molecular Programming (DNA23) to take place September 24-28, 2017. This conference emphasizes topics that bridge nanotechnology, biology and computation. This symposium is intended to foster interdisciplinary research and scientific discussion based on the most recent experimental and theoretical results that promise that greatest and most immediate impact. The first special "Nanoday" of the conference will be devoted to a special session on the overlap of synthetic biology and DNA nanotechnology and to tutorial sessions on nanotechnology education, both of which align well with ARO goals of developing design methods that bridge length scales and of training researchers to foster national strategic interests. The presentation sessions during the conference will be an excellent stage for discussing new results of highest quality and exchanging new ideas, which will contribute to advancing basic knowledge of physical principles that cross length scales, and to developing new technologies that are even now fomenting a revolution in materials design.
