Conference and Symposia Grants: Adversarial Machine Learning Workshop

Abstract

Advances in adversarial machine learning coupled with the explosion in the use of machine learning in a range of security-relevant areas in DOD applications prompts deep considerations of how emerging systems arc vulnerable to adversarial manipulation and what defenses may be appropriate. This workshop will bring together a diverse collection of thought leaders in security and machine learning research from government, industry, and academia. This working meeting will have technical presentations and breakouts to share ideas and thoughts on the current state of adversarial behavior in machine learning. The focus of the event will be the articulation of the key research challenges and approaches that will lead to a science of security in machine learning, as well as to foster a community addressing the key challenge this new area presents.
