Geometry of Information and Computation Workshop

Abstract

We propose a workshop to explore opportunities and fundamentals of geometric representation of multimodal data. The geometric point of view provides insights into data, models and algorithms by embedding these into geometrical spaces having metric structure, tangent bundles, curvature, and other natural properties. Such embedding allows data representation, modeling and decision-making to be analyzed using standard tools of geometry such as projection theorems, contraction mappings, geodesics and differential equations. The objective of the workshop is to explore foundational directions and promising application domains. We will bring experts together to present their perspectives from both methodological and applicational areas of research.
