Enhancing the Research and Education Program in Advanced Materials at Benedict College: Acquisition of Raman Microscope, Nano Zetasizer and High-Temperature Catalyst Testing Systems
Abstract
Three new instrument systems will be acquired through the current project. This will significantly improve the research infrastructure of Benedict College and will serve cuttingedge research projects in fuel cells and rechargeable batteries. Those research projects are of great scientific merit, particular interest and importance to DoD. Benedict College will provide lab space and utilities for the new instruments and the PI has excellent experience in instrument management. Both will assure the installation and continued maintenance of the instruments. In addition, the project has high impact upon the research and educational programs in the field of STEM at Benedict College, local high schools, AA community and HBCUs in the state of South Carolina.
