Engineering a Fully Connected Graph of Trapped Ion Qubits

Abstract

Objectives: Our goal is to improve the connectivity of trapped ion qubits. This would enhance their capability to perform quantum computation tasks, such as searching for the minimum energy configuration of arbitrary qubit networks - a task that maps onto many relevant problems of optimization, software validation, etc. • Benefit to the Soldier: Increase purity of quantum information used in sensing, communication and computing applications. Impact to C4ISRNET • Benefit to the Public: Increase reliability of quantum states to facilitate the transition from the classical to the quantum world of information.
