6th Global Conference on Renewables and Energy Efficiency for DEsert Regions (GCREEDER-2018) - April 3-5, 2018, Amman - Jordan

Abstract

The 6th Global Conference on Renewables and Energy Efficiency for Desert Regions (GCREEDER 2018) will be held on April 3-5, 2018 in Amman-Jordan, under the patronage of HRH Prince Hamzah Bin Al-Hussein. GCREEDER 2018 follows five successful conferences in 2006, 2009, 2011, 2013, and 2016. All GCREEDER conferences had attracted professional from industry and academic fields. Selected papers presented In this conference will be considered for publication in international peer reviewed journals. GCREEDER 2018 is organized by the University of Jordan, in cooperation with other public and private Universties in Jordan. Also, there is an international collaboration to organize the conference through participation of Desertec University Network (DUN) in Tunisian; African Network for Solar Energy (ANSOLE) by organizing the conference through its experts. In addition to these, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), and International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) were also contacted for possible cooperation. The conference is supported by the scientific research fund at the ministry of higher education and scientific research, and other national and international organizations such as The Abdus Salam International Centre of Theoretical Physics (ICTP), Jordan Petroleum Refinery Co. LTD (JoPetrol), GREENPLANS Environmental Consultations Ltd. Company. Also; there are many potential contributors were addressed. GCREEDER 2018 is dedicated to the improvement and dissemination of knowledge on methods, policies, and technologies for increasing the sustainability of energy development, and to identify and showcase policies, practices and experiences that could help increase renewable energy use in Jordan and Middle East. Also; it aims to highlight the economic, social and climate change mitigation benefits of conservation technologies and strategies across the region. The conference is covering a wide range of energy and environmental topics including 1. Energy resources, 2. Applications and technologies of renewable energy, 3. Energy efficient and green buildings, 4. Grid connected renewable energy systems, 5. Energy efficiency and management, 6. Energy economics and financing policies, 7. Energy regulations and policies, 8. Environmental aspects of energy systems, 9. Carbon footprint, 10. Climate change, 11. Energy storage systems, 12. Energy conversion systems, 13. Fuel cells, 14. Water/energy/food nexus, and 15. Nanoenergy and energy harvesting. Selected papers presented in this conference will be considered for publication in international peer reviewed journals. GCREEDER 2018 documentation will comprise a written documentation of the key arguments and ideas presented at the different session. A chairman and rapporteur will be appointed for each session. The closing session will include viewing of the important ideas and the recommendations and results will be published on conference website. The proceedings will be the collection of conference documents including hard copy or electronic, which corresponds to the technical presentations given at the conference along with additional information.
