Encapsulated Trigger-Release Chemistry for Sustainable End of life Cycle Product Management

Abstract

The U.S. Army Research Office is sponsoring a small workshop to explore end-of-life management capabilities for industrial products which typically are determined post-production. A paradigm shift in end-of-life strategies is needed to maximize sustainable disposal of future manufactured products. The workshop will examine the possibility of remediating or destroying materials from the inside out rather than the traditional industrial outside-in approach to transform materials into environmentally benign products. Workshop attendance is limited. Please contact Dr. Oxley if you are interested in participating.
