Workshop on Higher Category Approach to Certifiably Correct Quantum Information Processing Systems

Abstract

The purpose of this workshop it to bring together Mathematicians, Logicians, Physicists, and Computer Scientists, to discuss the possibility of using a higher category approach to certifiably correct quantum information processing systems. This is a one-day Workshop to be held at ARL in January with the exact date to be determined depending on availability of key participants. Participation will be by invitation only and restricted to US residents. Invitations will be sent by the PI in consultation with researchers at ARL. We expect the Workshop to be a milestone as ARL becomes a catalyst in the development of mathematical tools that will advance synergies between higher category theory, topological quantum field theories and quantum information processing.
