IEEE 34th International Conference on ELECTRONICS AND NANOTECHNOLOGY ELNANO-2019
Abstract
The conference is a regular annual event held in Ukraine since the 1980s, with objective to give a chance to discuss research results between the Ukrainian, other ex-USSR, and the Western scientists in electronics, microwaves, radar, and nanotechnology. Both novel and traditional topics are covered across a wide spectrum of frequencies from microwaves to optics. Free character of discussion is ensured by English as single official working language. After the start of the aggression of Russia in 2014, the Gross Domestic Product of Ukraine (by the exchange rate) has dropped in more than 2.5 times; national GDP per capita is now the lowest in Europe, 2650 USD in 2017 (to be compared to 18 500 USD in Poland and 58 000 USD in Denmark). Therefore the number of Ukrainian and ex-USSR scientists able to attend international conferences is near zero. A conference held in Ukraine, but with English as the only medium of presentation, is a unique chance to make their current work still available to worldwide audience. ELNANO-2019 is organized by the non-profit organizations: IEEE Section Ukraine, in cooperation with the IEEE Central Ukraine ED/MTT/COM/CPMT/SSC Joint Chapter, IEEE Central Ukraine SP/AES Joint Chapter, IEEE Ukraine EMBS Chapter, and IEEE East Ukraine AP/MTT/ED/AES/GRS/NPS Joint Chapter, and two major technical universities in Kyiv. The formal Proceedings of ELNANO-2019 are to be published by the date of the meeting. More than 50% of participants are expected to be students and young scientists. More specifically, the program of ELNANO-2019 will cover the following topics: ¥ Nanostructures and nanotechnology in electronics, ¥ Components of micro- and nanoelectronics, ¥ Micro- and nanosystems in electronics, ¥ Mathematical simulation of electronic components, devices and systems, ¥ Electronic nanotechnology in biomedicine, ¥ Biocomponents of nanosystems, ¥ Nanobiosystems simulation, ¥ Electronics for monitoring, diagnostics and treatment, ¥ Digital processing and analysis of biomedical signals, ¥ Interactions between physical fields and biological objects, ¥ Smart Grid and Microgrid, ¥ Analysis, modeling, optimization and simulation in Power Electronics, ¥ Control methods and real time operation of Power Converters, ¥ Modern technology and computation techniques, ¥ Energy efficient buildings, ¥ Automotive electronics, ¥ Airborne electronic systems, ¥ Acoustic-electronic Systems, ¥ Radar systems and signal processing, ¥ UWB electronic systems, ¥ Remote sensing, ¥ Multistatic electronic systems, ¥ Polarimetric and Doppler techniques.- others. The venue of ELNANO-2019 will be the National Technical University of Ukraine ÒIgor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic InstituteÓ (NTUU-KPI) in Kyiv. The plenary sessions will be organized in the Conference Hall of the old building of NTUU-KPI. The regular sessions of ELNANO-2019 will be held in the adjacent library building, where halls and presentation facilities are available. Kyiv is the capital city of Ukraine and has population of about 3.5 million. It has numerous hotels, and is famous for mighty Dnieper River flowing across the city. The major international airport Boryspil is at the distance of 20 km from the city center. It is connected by daily flights with all major world capitals and other cities in Europe, Asia, and America. The estimate of the conference attendance is between 120 and 150 participants, including some 20 from the West.
