Workshop on Distributed Reinforcement Learning and Reinforcement Learning Games

Abstract

This proposal is for a workshop on Distributed Reinforcement Learning and Reinforcement Learning Games to be held near ARL in Adeplhi, MD April 12-13, 2019. The objective of this workshop is to bring leading researchers in reinforcement learning and multi-agent games to discuss the latest developments, future directions, and explore possible new funding programs in the area of Distributed Reinforcement Learning and Reinforcement Learning Games. Topics covered in the workshop span various reinforcement learning technologies, deep learning, explainable artificial intelligence and games in a multi-agent setting. The participants are by invitation only, and include recognized authorities in the field. The first day of the workshop will be mostly on presentations and panels, and the second day will summarize the discussions and draft a suggestion report. The report will include activities in the workshop, talks that are rendered, summary on the current status in Distributed Reinforcement Learning and Reinforcement Learning Games, and recommendations on directions for the ARO new program. The workshop is expected to have a significant impact on this new direction of Distributed Reinforcement Learning and Reinforcement Learning Games, and help to prioritize research agendas for the Army.
