Learning and Coordination of Human and Artificial

Abstract

We propose the development of distributed optimization techniques for identifying a model of an intelligent agentÕs dynamic decisions. We use a neural network (NN) representation of heterogeneous cognitive ability that is to be trained with streaming data with fast distributed asynchronous stochastic gradient approaches enabling online implementation. We refer to cognitive ability as the overall state of cognitive processes such as perception, attention, memory, information processing. The project addresses a gap in the inverse learning literature that largely ignores limited cognitive ability which is an important source of heterogeneity.
