2023 Atmospheric Chemistry Gordon Research Conference
Abstract
We request $10,000 in support for a portion of the operation costs for the 2023 Atmospheric Chemistry Gordon Research Conference, subtitled Fundamental Chemistry and Societal Changes: Shaping Air Quality and Climate from the Molecular to the Planetary Scale. The meeting will be held July 30 Ð August 4, 2023 at Grand Summit Hotel in Sunday River, Maine, USA. The atmospheric chemistry GRC is a premier, international scientific conference focused on advancing the frontiers of science through presentation of cutting-edge, unpublished research. The conference program includes a diverse range of speakers and discussion leaders from institutions and organizations worldwide. The topics to be covered are fundamentally tied to the Army Research OfficeÕs Environmental Chemistry ProgramÕs mission, namely to support research that promotes the strategic objectives of the Army, by studying the fundamental chemical processes of the environment. The speakers and discussion leaders for the 2023 program are more than 50% female and include all career stages, including early career scientists and other underrepresented groups.
